Mel Austin has been with Lauber since 2017. Mel is a seasoned CFO with experience in the nonprofit and education sectors, including nearly 20 years of experience at Marquette University in the Finance Department. While at Marquette, Mel served as senior associate vice president of finance and directed the financial activities of the budget, purchasing, student financial aid and bursar departments. She was also responsible for the university’s debt issuance and compliance for $250 million in issued debt. Mel, a certified public accountant, earned her MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and her bachelor’s degree in accounting from The Ohio State University.
